The proposed project is a five-story apartment building and private parking garage, located along 20th Street between F Street and E Street in midtown Sacramento. At the southern portion of the project site the apartment building provides 50 residential units. Across Eggplant Alley at the northern portion of the project site, the existing warehouse will be converted into a private parking garage with 31 parking spaces. The proposed project‘s design is inspired by and reflects upon the surrounding warehouse buildings and neighboring residential homes. At the two book ends of the proposed residential building, the articulated metal panel finishes pay homage to the warehouse buildings within this transitional zone of the neighborhood. A graphic accent tile brings focus to the public spaces and building entrances along F Street and 20th Street, using vibrant colors gathered from the nearby residential homes. The white façade acts as a backdrop to showcase the colorful tile, sunshades and balconies.
