STEPHEN’S PLACE – ASSISTED LIVING FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED SENIORS

Vancouver, Washington

Completed in 2014, this 42,000 sq ft complex in Vancouver, Washington, was designed for the Wayne E. and Joan D. Kuni Foundation and is one of the first assisted living facilities in the country created for active, developmentally disabled adults aged 50 and up. The project is dedicated to the memory of their son, Stephen. Stephen’s Place houses 42 residents with half of the facility dedicated to common areas supporting the many programs offered; such as dietary counseling, fitness classes, occupational and physical therapy, and recreational / entertainment activities. Daily meals are offered through the onsite commercial kitchen and cafeteria. The project also features an on-site laundry facility. High-end, hospitality grade finishes support the welcoming and comfortable atmosphere the facility fosters. Interior Design and FF+E by Ankrom Moisan Architects.
